Willow's Theme Song
“Willow, Bend and Sway” — official biography track
Quiet Strength on Shallow Taproot Island
Willow was first logged on August 3 on Shallow Taproot Island, off the plant called TKo'D: a bright lime-green baby about two and a half inches across, with her blossom still attached. She was named for quiet strength, like a willow that bends in the wind but does not break. By August 30 she had turned bright orange, and she kept on growing long past the Harvest Party. On the October 16 walk-through, Daisy, Carrie Ward's daughter, chose her. At her weigh-in she was 8 lb 14 oz on the scale, 29 3/4 inches around and 28 3/4 inches over the top, very nearly round, and on October 18 she went home with Daisy.
Things I Want Daisy to Know
From Willow, in her own words.
- I am named for quiet strength. A willow bends in the wind, but it does not break.
- I turned orange early, at the end of August, and then I just kept on growing.
- You chose me on the walk-through, Daisy, and I am the biggest of our three. Thank you for taking me home!
