Lullaby's Theme Song
“Lullaby, The Long-Necked Green One” — official biography track
The Softest Singer on the Hill
Lullaby was first logged on July 29, one of the first fifteen pumpkins in the registry. In early August she grew long and skinny, like a little green bottle, and by September 9 she was round and turning orange on Novelty Hill. She was the Patch's soft singer: when the vines got loud, she hummed the others calm, and a brand-new green pumpkin, Lourdes, tucked in right beside her until Lourdes's own adoption day. On October 26 she had her final weigh-in: 3 lb 15.8 oz on the scale, 20 5/8 inches around and 21 inches over the top, deep even orange with a tall straw stem. The Cowboy Pinoy hand-picked her for someone special, and she went home as a Hand-Picked for You gift that helped feed the Rescue's horses this winter.
Things I Want My New Family to Know
From Lullaby, in her own words.
- When the grown-ups first counted me, I was a skinny green bottle. Now I'm round and orange!
- When the Patch got loud, I hummed real soft, and little Lourdes tucked in right beside me.
- Now I have a home of my own. Thank you for taking me home!
