Why I Need to Be Adopted Today
Three things that make me different from every other kid in the Patch.
- I am brand new here! The grown-ups only just found me, so there is nothing written down about me at all. Not one single thing.
- Nobody has worked out which bit of the Patch is mine yet. That means I could go anywhere. I could go home with you.
- You would be the very first person to pick me. Everybody else here has been looked at and measured for weeks. Not me.

The New Arrival of the Patch
Scuttlebutt turned up in the Patch without any paperwork at all, which is how it got the name -- word got around before anybody had written a single thing down. Nobody has measured it, weighed it, or worked out which vine it came off. It has no Patchrealm yet and no photographs on file. What it does have is a whole season ahead of it and somebody out there who has not met it yet.
Before you decide
There is a lot of family out here. If Scuttlebutt is not the one, one of these might be. Look for the sign, then look for the sticker.
