Chickweed's Theme Song
A theme song for this Pipsqueak is on the way.
Why I Need to Be Adopted Today
Three things that make me different from every other kid in the Patch.
- My leaves are broadly round and heart-shaped, shallowly 5-lobed. Out of all ninety-two of us I am the only one with leaves like mine. I get my own shade to sit in.
- My skin is fine speckled netting, soft bumpy stripes, 5 lines, smooth to fine crackly. Nobody else in the Patch feels like me. You have to touch me to know.
- My stem is thick green striped, healthy, firm, slightly hairy, attached to main vine. That is the handle you hold me by, and mine is a really good one.

The Keeper of Novelty Hill
Chickweed was named for the dense chickweed groundcover surrounding the fruit in Novelty Hill Zone, Hobart WA, thriving amid companion weeds like a resilient Ward Family Rescue pumpkin ready for a child. Today it reads as golden-yellow with green mottling, fine stippled netting, glossy highlights, orange blush developing, smooth to fine crackle. It weighs 0.26 lbs at the latest reading. No parent vine has been identified, so it is recorded as a volunteer. It grows in the Patchrealm of Novelty Hill, and it is looking for somebody to take it home any time.
Before you decide
There is a lot of family out here. If Chickweed is not the one, one of these might be. Look for the sign, then look for the sticker.
