Juan Tamad's Theme Song
A theme song for this Pipsqueak is on the way.
Come back soon.
Come back soon.
Come back soon.
Why I Need to Be Adopted Today
Three things that make me different from every other kid in the Patch.
- I am named after Juan Tamad, the boy in the old Filipino stories who lay under a guava tree and waited for the fruit to drop right into his mouth. I like to take my time too!
- I showed up almost a week after the Harvest Party. Sunny and Surfboard came off my BoonDock plant first. I am the last one, and the only one still here.
- Nobody has measured me yet, so there is not one number written down about me. Take me home and you get to find out everything first.

The Late Bloomer of the Perimeter
Juan Tamad is the third pumpkin to come off the BoonDock plant out on The Perimeter, and it took its time about it. Sunny was the first and Surfboard the second, and both of them went home at the Harvest Party. Juan Tamad turned up almost a week after the party was over, which is how it got its name. In the old Filipino folktales, Juan Tamad ("Lazy John") is the boy who found a guava tree full of ripe fruit and, instead of climbing it, lay down underneath with his mouth open and waited for a guava to drop in. This Juan Tamad has not been measured, weighed or photographed yet. It is looking for somebody to take it home any time.
Before you decide
There is a lot of family out here. If Juan Tamad is not the one, one of these might be. Look for the sign, then look for the sticker.
