Splinter's Theme Song
“Splinter the Sensei Pumpkin” — official biography track
The Last Warrior on the Ninja Vine
Splinter was first logged on August 15 on Warrior Hill, on Ninja the Pumpkin Plant: round and golden-yellow, about five and a half inches across, with a coat of fine fuzz. He is named for the sensei who shares his plant. The next day his three big brothers, Leonardo, Donatello and Raphael, graduated early, and the plant's strength went to the two who stayed: Michelangelo and Splinter. Michelangelo went home at the Harvest Party, and Splinter stayed on, the last one on the Ninja vine, through weeds, rain and slugs. At the October 16 walk-through he was 7 lb 5 oz on the scale, 27 inches around and 26 inches over the top, and he went home with a new family.
Things I Want My New Family to Know
From Splinter, in his own words.
- When the grown-ups first found me, I was round and golden, with fuzz all over like a little sensei's beard.
- My brothers left the vine before me, so I held on for all of us. Weeds, rain, slugs: I stayed!
- Now I have a home of my own. Thank you for taking me home!
